I push myself to see the world of design through my client's eyes and I learn that sometimes its okay to break the rules I feel so comfortable following. I have learned over the years to appreciate all different types of styles and taste.
I met this homeowner through a mutual acquaintance. We talked and shared pictures through email and she told me she needed an "up do" for a few rooms in her house. It sounded like a fun project but the tricky part would be that she lived almost 3 hours away. We used face time to do a few consultations and it was successful. I was excited to realize that this type of technology could be used in my business.
The Challenge...My client loves her artwork, mementos, and every piece of furniture she owns has a story behind it. So when she started sharing with me about each item, I was a bit perplexed as I looked around wondering how good the "up do" could really be if we were just moving artwork around and rearranging the furniture.
As I listened to her many stories and memories of her journey; I realized that there was so much I could learn from her experiences and wisdom. We also were able to re-arrange many of her items and were able to pull off a complete transformation. Thanks Amy for allowing me into your home and also for all the encouragement during this transitional time for our family. I loved being challenged and love the updated flavor of your home!
