After: Fireplace and Family Room |
Projects: New floor, Recessed Lights, Removed Built-in Bookcase, New Overhead Lighting, Painting the Walls. New Furniture and Accessories, Curtains and Hardware.

Before: Fireplace |
The first thing this update required was to take out all of the floral fabrics and remove the bookcase and TV from the fireplace. We needed to create a beautiful focal point that wasn't weighing down the room or overtaking it. We then changed the pink taupe wall color to a warm gray-brown and replaced the short valances with floor to ceiling window panels. The homeowners were a bit nervous that this would block light or take away from the gorgeous windows, however, adding texture with curtains added warmth to the room and helps bring all 3 spaces together to feel cohesive. The Yordy's goal was to create a space that could be enjoyed by large groups of people as well as their children and grandchildren. A space that was light and airy and yet still warm and comfortable. I love how it turned out!

Before: Dining Room While we didn't change a lot of the furniture in the room but by adding the new flooring, lighting, wall color, and window treatments and some new accessories, we were able to update this space to blend with the living room in this open floor plan. |

Fireplace Before: TV and bookcase left the room feeling out of balance. |

Fireplace After: Clean and Beautiful focal point! |
I had to add a little live greenery to replace the two trees that were holding up the corners!
|
Before: My client wanted the space behind the family room to be used as a place for her to spend time with the grand kids. She wanted chairs that she could sit in and read to them as well as an area for them to play! |
|
These bookcases were the perfect solution to adding storage for toys as well as helping to define the space. |

Functional and Beautiful! |

Thanks for inviting me into your home Yordy Family! I loved working with you. |
